Soweit hier ersichtlich, besteht für den seinerzeit Beauftragten die Tätigkeit als Bundesdatenschutzbeauftragter allerdings seit geraumer Zeit nicht mehr. Laut Bundesvorstandsportal sowie Historie im Bundeswiki ist derzeit Bundesdatenschutzbeauftragter der Piratenpartei Deutschland Thomas Marc Göbel, der als Nachfolger von Jan Leutert bestellt wurde.
